Central Valley beverage line included in Sunny Delight deal

Sunny Delight Beverages Co. is buying the Fruit20 water and Veryfine juice brands from Kraft Foods Inc. (NYSE: KFT). The purchase includes Kraft’s state-of-the-art packing line in a plant in Fresno, says Sunny Delight.
Financial terms of the deal were not announced. The transaction is expected to be completed during the fourth quarter. As part of the transaction, approximately 200 Veryfine employees will join privately held Sunny Delight.
"This acquisition will further accelerate our growth and continue our commitment to bring more wholesome beverage choices to consumers,” says Billy Cyr, chief executive officer of Cincinnati, Ohio-based Sunny Delight.
