Akeena Solar expands further into Central Valley

Solar power systems designer and installer Akeena Solar Inc. (OTCBB: AKNS) of Los Gatos has opened another office in the Central Valley, this one in Manteca. This is the third new office the company has opened this year. Akeena now has five offices serving California and one in the Northeast.
“Manteca is strategically located, linking the San Francisco Bay Area to California's Central Valley. The hot climate combined with high energy prices and the availability of new homes makes Manteca an ideal place for solar power,” says Barry Cinnamon, chief executive officer of Akeena Solar.
Akeena says the California Solar Initiative makes solar power systems an attractive option for commercial and residential buildings.
“Opening new offices effectively is a challenging task, and we are very happy with the performance of the Fresno, Orange County and Bakersfield offices that we have opened over the last nine months,” Mr. Cinnamon says. |
